Lifeboats tasked by Belfast Coastguard at 17:30 to a report of a boat aground between Maghery and Ardboe Point.
On arrival, our crews located the vessel close to the shore. A strong onshore wind created tricky conditions for a lee shore rescue, making the operation more challenging.
The vessel and those on board were assessed by our crew.
All persons were safely transferred onto one of our lifeboat and brought safety to Maghery
A towline was then secured, allowing the stricken vessel to be brought into safe water before being towed back to Maghery slip.
Lifeboats then returned to station and were washed, refuelled and made ready for service.
