Lifeboats tasked by Belfast Coastguard at 11:01 this morning following reports of a person in the water after capsizing in an inflatable kayak.
Conditions at the time were challenging, with a strong westerly breeze creating difficult conditions on the water.
Lifeboats were quickly launched and made their way to the scene, where the casualty was located clinging to the side of the kayak.
Crew acted swiftly to recover the individual from the water and bring them safely ashore at Sandy Bay Marina.
Lifeboats returned to base and made ready for next tasking.
