Lifeboats tasked by HMCG.  A fisherman had been stranded on Rams Island after his dinghy had broken loose from its tether and drifted away. As a gesture of good neighbourliness the errant dinghy was located and returned to the fisherman.

Lifeboat tasked to a tasked  to a yacht apparently aground outside of Kinnego Bay. On closer inspection the vessel was in no danger and boats where stood down.

Presented today in Kinnego, a cheque for £100.00. Many thanks to the club for including us in their charitable donations.

Lifeboats tasked to reports of two people in the water South of Cranfield. Casualties and a Jet Ski safely recovered and escorted to Cranfield.

At 18.34 hmcg tasked  lifeboat to a motor cruiser with 4 POB stranded in shallow water after hitting rocks in the Kinturk flat area. The life boat sucessfully released the vessel from the rocks, and took it in tow to ballyronan marina, where they were safely returned to shore(4 persons rescued )

19ft Coribee with 2 POB ran aground 1 mile SSW of Ram’s Island. Vessel located, checked for damage, then escorted under her own power to Crumlin Marina.

HMCG requested launch to North Lough Neagh to a vessel with 6 POB.  Reports were sketchy as they were reportedly stranded on the Toome Bay sand banks, but were in fact picked up by life boat  south west of Skaddy Island,  a very dangerous area. It has emerged that Belfast Coastguard has been saved from closure following a review of UK coastal stations. It had been feared that the station, based in Bangor, would be lost under government plans to close more than half of the 18 coastguard centres. Lifeboats paged @ 21.50hrs to reports of a yacht in trouble near Ballyronan. Vessel was located then assisted back to harbour

On way back to base from Antrim Game Fair, Support 1 was hailed by a 17ft Skipper Yacht that had  broken down and was drifting. Crew attached a tow and brought casualty back to Kinnego Marina. There where 2 POB. HMCG informed and info passed.

Even though the weather wasn’t what was hoped for £2900 was raised for Lough Neagh Rescue. A great result. The Crew members from LNR Antrim worked hard behind the scenes and on the day assisted by volunteer friends and family, the Sea Scouts and of course LNR Kinnego and LNR Ardboe. Mayday received by HMCG at 12.45hrs. Yacht taking on water with 2 POB and in need of immediate assistance. Lifeboats on scene 13.05hrs, yacht stabilised and escorted back to Kinnego.

Crews paged at 20.30 hrs. Pan Pan received from vessel “Panache” aground and sinking in vicinity of Ardmore. Vessel was quickly located at the 6ft flat then re-floated and escorted back to Kinnego. RTB 22.00hrs

At 16.52hrs LNR was put on standbye to a report of a vehicle having entered the water at Ballyronan. The report had come from the PSNI who subsequently informed HMCG the information received earlier was incorrect. All Stations stood down 17.30hrs
